SBYC is pleased to announce the Corinthian Yacht Club as
co-sponsor of the 2007 TransPuget Benefit Race. CYC
(http://cycseattle.org)
is providing their floating clubhouse for the party after the
race.
First place in each class wins a free
haul-out from one of a variety of local boat yards.
The benefactor will be adaptive sailing at Sound
Experience (http://www.soundexp.org)
in support of many programs
that cannot pay for the operating costs and protecting Puget
Sound through environmental education while providing hands-on
leadership experiences. These include complimentary sails for
families touched by cancer (you may have seen wide coverage in
the Seattle papers this year and last year) and other such
groups. This is the fifth year the TransPuget has raised funds
toward adaptive sailing opportunities in dedicated adaptive
programs and mainstream programs with open doors.
